You don’t see a Chinese restaurant with an open kitchen very often. At Asian Glories, you see chefs stirring big woks and basting fat Peking ducks. A wonderful sight to see! This is no back-alley restaurant, you will find nothing out of the ordinary here. On the contrary: good ingredients are at the base of everything. A lot of seafood from Schmidt and crunchy vegetables. The seasoning Ve-tsin is nowhere to be found. Try to find that somewhere else! And where else will you find such a warm-hearted hostess? When you’ve been here a couple of times, she will welcome you with open arms. And she knows her wines too: which is very pleasant with a classical Chinese dish with a twist. Here and there we hear some French: foie grass, anyone? The modern interior is not particularly spectacular, but pleasant and modest. Herman den Blijker has found his way to Jenny for many years for just a quick snack, but also on his days off. Even Dutch celebrities leave their safe haven of ‘t Gooi to indulge in their dim sums.
What exciting textures and flavours! Crunchy, soft, rich, nicely crisp, spicy; all at the same time!
